Class profile : ) a class of 8 students, Their age range is 13-14. Most of the students are visual,  kinaesthetic and audio learners.  They enjoy performing communicative  activities. They need to   improve speaking and reading skills.

Aims for the lesson (language/skills/other aims) By the end of the lesson the students will  •           have developed their reading skills for gist and for specific information with the reference  to a topic on inventions. •           Have learnt names of different items of inventions and related verbs to inventions.  •           have developed their speaking skill to ask and answer the questions using vocabulary related  to inventions. Anticipated problems (language/behaviour/other things which may disrupt your lesson) Students might not be aware of some vocabulary in the text. (drill the words if necessary) Power point  projector T- Ss 8min Pre-reading Reading for gist Pair work speaking Ask Ss to look at their hands and tell how many things can they do   with them and what makes human hands unique? Ask Ss to read the text again and find out what the following numbers in the text refer to. Numbers:1824;16;18 Ask Ss to work in pairs and tell each other what their favourite invention is ,and discuss what is the worst invention ,explain why it is the worst.Students also discuss which is the  most popular  and useful invention.
